Rome, Fatima, Lourdes & Spain A combination of famous Marian Shrines
and the beautiful cities of Rome and Madrid are highlighted in this 14-day
pilgrimage. Visit sites dating from antiquity, the Middle Ages, the Renaissance
and present day.

Day 1 New York, NY
Depart a New York area gateway or your domestic airport for your overnight
flight to Rome. Enjoy dinner and breakfast on board.
Day 2 Rome
Upon arrival in Rome, we are met by our tour escort and transfer to our
hotel. The balance of the day is at leisure to rest or explore on our own.

Day 3 Rome
After breakfast we depart for Vatican City, where we gather to attend a Papal
Audience (if available). In the afternoon, visit the Vatican Museums, home to
one of the world's greatest art collections, and Michelangelo's awesome Sistine
Chapel followed by a tour of the magnificent St. Peter's Basilica. We have the
remainder of the day to the sample Rome's many delights on our own. Dinner and
overnight in Rome. (B, D)
Day 4 Rome
After breakfast we depart for our full day guided sightseeing tour of the
"Eternal City." The highlights include the Catacombs, the Appian Way, Capitoline
Hill, St. Peter in Chains, the Colosseum, the Arch of Constantine, Circus
Maximus and Palazzo Venezia. We also visit three major basilicas in Rome,
including the 1600-year-old St. Mary Major, St. John Lateran, the Cathedral of
Rome, and St. Paul Outside the Walls, built over the Saint's burial place.

Day 5 Fatima
After breakfast we depart the hotel for Rome's airport and our flight to
Lisbon. Upon arrival in Lisbon, we are met by our escort and transferred to our
Fatima hotel. Dinner and overnight in Fatima. (B, D)
Day 6 Fatima
We visit the Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima, starting at the pristine Basilica,
with the tombs of Jacinta and Francisco, beatified in 2000, and Sr. Lucia.
Continue to the Capelinha, where Our Lady appeared to the shepherd children.
Later discover the hamlet of Aljustrel, the shepherd children's home. Visit the
church where they were baptized and the local cemetery. There is time for
private devotions before a video presentation on the history of Fatima. Later
participate in the Rosary Candlelight Procession (if available). Dinner and
overnight in Fatima. (B, D)
Day 7 Burgos
We depart Fatima after breakfast and take in the rustic beauty of the
Portuguese countryside, crossing the border into Spain. Here we have an
orientation tour of Burgos highlighted by a visit to the imposing Basilica, one
of Spain's largest and most beautiful churches. Dinner and overnight in Burgos.

Day 8 Lourdes
We depart Burgos on a scenic ride through the Pyrenees Mountains en route to
Lourdes. We arrive in the afternoon and visit the beloved Shrine of Lourdes. We
are invited to experience the evening Candlelight Procession and International
Rosary, if available. Dinner and overnight in Lourdes. (B, D)
Day 9 Lourdes
This morning we begin by celebrating Mass at the Grotto of Apparitions. In
the afternoon and evening, participate in the Blessed Sacrament Procession with
the Blessing of the Sick. There is also the opportunity to participate in The
Way of the Cross or visit the Baths of Lourdes. Later a walking tour leads us
into the world of St. Bernadette, visiting places that illustrate her life and
tell her story. After dinner, gather for the evening Rosary Candlelight
Procession, if available. Dinner and overnight in Lourdes. (B, D)
Day 10 Lourdes
Today is free to explore Lourdes. Visit the Grotto, the underground Basilica,
the Blessing of the Sick, the magnificent life-sized Stations of the Cross
behind the Grotto, the "Miraculous" Baths or take part in the wealth of
spiritual exercises available throughout the day. Once again, consider
participating in the Rosary Candlelight Procession after dinner. (B, D)
Day 11 Zaragoza
After breakfast we depart Lourdes for Zaragoza. Upon arrival in Zaragoza, we
visit one of the world's largest Marian Shrines, Our Lady of the Pillar. The
pillar, given to St. James by the Blessed Mother, gives off an extraordinary
fragrance. This place visited by Our Lady before her Assumption, offers visitors
the glimpse of the Holy Land. Dinner and overnight in Zaragoza. (B, D)
Day 12 Madrid
Depart Zaragoza for Madrid after breakfast. After checking into our hotel, we
are introduced to the cosmopolitan Spanish capital, during a panoramic city
tour. From the motorcoach, we enjoy views of the city's historic sites including
the famed museum, the Prado, and the 2000-room Royal Palace. Dinner and
overnight in Madrid. (B, D)
Day 13 Madrid
Today we are free to discover Madrid on our own or to choose an optional
excursion to Avila (at additional cost), the ancient walled city and home of St.
Teresa. Here we delve into the world of this inspiring saint and mystic, as we
visit the places that speak of her life and calling. Later return to Madrid for
some leisure time. Dinner and overnight in Madrid. (B, D)
Day 14 New York, NY
Depart for Madrid's airport after breakfast. Arrive home the same day. (B)
