Depart for our overnight flight to Rome. Dinner And breakfast will be served on board.

Day 2 Rome Saturday April 26, 2014

Upon arrival in Rome, we are met by our tour escort who will be with us throughout our Italy pilgrimage. Enjoy the balance of the day at leisure and join us for a welcome dinner.

Day 3 Rome Sunday April 27, 2014

Early morning departure for Vatican City to attend the Canonization of Pope John Paul II and Pope John XXIII. A box breakfast will be provided to take to the Square.
PLEASE NOTE: It is recommended to carry water, food, if possible a folding stool, hat for the sun and warm clothes for the night.
Later afternoon at leisure
Dinner and overnight in Rome.

Day 4 Rome Monday April 28, 2014

This morning we explore the wonders of “Ancient Rome”. This panoramic tour offers you to view Capitoline Hill and the Colosseum, an architectural wonder completed in 80AD. We continue this panoramic tour to view the Arch of Constantine, Circus Maximus, and the Roman Forum . Visit the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel, with Michelangelo's breathtaking frescoes. Conclude our Vatican City tour with a visit to to the St. Peter's Basilica. Continue to Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. At 3:30 we will celebrate Mass at Basilica Santa Maria Sopra Minerva. Dinner and overnight in Rome.

Day 5 Rome Tuesday April 29, 2014

Consider a full day of leisure to enjoy Rome or join us for an optional tour to Assisi. Pope Francis selected his “name” after Saint Francis who lived in Assisi during the 12th century. Enjoy a walking tour to include St. Francis Basilica and the the Church of St. Clare. Continue to visit St. Mary of the Angels before our early evening return to Rome. For those staying in Rome today, 9am Mass at the Church of San Giuseppe.

Day 6 Rome Wednesday April 30, 2014

After breakfast we depart for Vatican City to attend a Papal Audience (if available). Sightseeing this afternoon of the the “Eternal City” will include visiting major basilicas of Rome including St. Mary Major, dedicate to Our Lady, St. John Lateran, the Cathedral of Rome, and St. Paul Outside the Walls, built over the burial place of St. Paul. We will also visit the Holy Stairs. 6pm Mass at San Pietro in Vincoli (St Peter in the Chains). Dinner and overnight in Rome.

Day 7 Rome/Lisbon/Fatima Thursday May 1, 2014

Transfer to the airport for our flight to Lisbon. Arriving in Lisbon, we enjoy a brief panoramic tour of the charming Portuguese capital. See the fanciful Belem Tower, Jeronimos Monastery, dedicated to the Virgin Mary, the Monument to the Discoveries and (time permitting) the Basilica of St. Anthony. Continue to Fatima with a stop in Santarem to take in the Miracle of the Bleeding Host. In Fatima, on the evenings, if available, join in the moving Candlelight Rosary Procession beginning in the Chapel of the Apparitions (Capelinha). Overnight in Fatima.

Day 8 Fatima Friday May 2, 2014

We visit the Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima, starting at the pristine Basilica, with the tombs of Jacinta and Francisco, beatified in 2000, and Sr. Lucia. Continue to the Capelinha, where Our Lady appeared to the shepherd children. Light a candle near the shrine, walk the lovely grounds or shop for religious articles nearby. Discover the hamlet of Aljustrel, the shepherd children's home. Continue to Valinhos, where Our Lady appeared after the children's release from prison. Visit the church where they were baptized and the local cemetery. Take some time for private devotions before a video presentation on the history of Fatima. After dinner we can once again experience the Rosary Candlelight Procession. Overnight in Fatima.

Following breakfast we transfer to Lisbon's Airport for our return flight, arriving the same day.
